Shri Raghavendraswamy, who was Sanku Karna as a Deva, Prahalada as a Bhaktha, Bhahlika as a king, Vyasaraja as Yathi Sreshta, born and entered Brindavana in the year 1671 at Mantralaya, Andhra Pradesh. 

The Mruthika Brindavanam at Saligramam, Chennai-93, Tamil Nadu fulfills the desire and clears the miseries of Bhakthas whoever surrender to him with involvement of bhakthi. The place at Saligramam, Chennai-93, was identified by Smt.Savithiri Ammal, wife of Sri.B.S.Srinivas Rao , with the divine blessings in her dream for the installation of Mruthika Brindavanam of Sri Raghavendra Swamy. 

The Mruthika Brindavanam installed at Saligramam, Chennai, Tamilanadu by Sri Sri Visweswara Theertha Sripadangalavaru, Peetathipathi of Pejawar Mutt, Udupi on 15th July 1975. 

The importance of this Mutt at Saligramam is known by the fact that Sri Sri Ragoothumaswamy Brindavanam is also installed by Sri Sri Satyapromoda Theertha Sripadangalavaru of Uttradhi Mutt, during 1992
